The Old Line Chapter held its 2008 Spring Tour on April 3, 2008:

The 2008 Spring Tour, titled "Innovative Agricultural Best Management Practices Strategies within the Choptank River Watershed," showcased ongoing research and demonstration projects that reduced nutrient loading from agricultural production systems on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Projects included the evaluation of cover crops utilizing remote sensing techniques, effective use of drainage ditch management and heavy use areas at the entrance of poultry houses. In addition, water quality monitoring and the movement of nutrients n groundwater were also discussed.
